The Commodore Vegas Expo, a.k.a. CommVEx, is less than 90 days away!  July 24 and 25 are coming 'round the corner!  To celebrate this fifth year of the show and the 25th anniversary of the Commodore Plus/4 and Commodore 16 computers, we are making the event extra-special this time.  Our headliner is CBM engineer, Dave Haynie, who has worked on the Plus/4, Commodore 128, and Amiga computers.  Come on in and meet Dave, ask your questions, listen to his CBM behind-the-scene anecdotes, and get his autograph.

Not only is Dave Haynie attending the show but CommVEx friend and CBM engineer Bil Herd has arranged an interview with Chuck Peddle, CBM engineer and father of the personal computer.  The details are still being worked out at this time, but the Chuck Peddle interview could be a pre-recorded video/Skype chat or a live telephone call-in to CommVEx.

Gracing the CommVEx room again will be Newtek engineer Jeri Ellsworth, who will apprise us of her Commodore and non-Commodore projects.

For the full list of guests and presentations, exhibits, and raffle prizes planned so far, go to the CommVEx website at

http://www.portcommodore.com/commvex

or go to the CommVEx forum at

http://www.commodore.ca/forum and click on ComVEX

By the way, if you come to CommVEx and plan to stay at the CommVEx hotel, the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, make your reservations before June 24 in order to get special pricing on your room.  Mention CommVEx when you call the hotel at 1 800 634-6575 ext. 2345.

         Sincerely,

This year is a 25th of mine. This past April was 25th year of when I got my First Commodore, a 64. I always liked the Plus/4 and 16 but never had any until just a few years ago.

Bil Herd wants a *live* Skype presentation, saying that Chuck Peddle would have no problem with that.  So, I will contact the hotel and get a fast connection into the CommVEx room.  Also, I'll get a hardwire telephone connection, just in case.  :)
