     SCCAN member, Jason G., gave me an Atari 5200 cart, Star Trek: Strategic Operations Simulator, as a gift.  Very kind of him!  He told me that in his opinion, it was the best implementation of the arcade game, complete with digitized voices.  Now I have to get the machine to try it out!

If thats the Sega arcade game from the early mid 1980's that used colour vector graphics it is a good game.

Btw, that reminds me of something.  Back in the 80's there was a series of 5200 games ported to the atari 8bits by someone calling himself "glenn the 5200 man". They were always of dubious legality back then but might be worth looking at now even just for curiousity sake. Many of them were arcade games I never saw on many other systems, games like space fortress (I think that was the title) and vanguard which was a favourite of mine so I ended up with the 2600 version.

     A few months ago, TOGA member Duncan M. gave me a modded Atari 5200.  It has ports for 4 controllers and outputs composite video.  A nice, though large console.  He included a few game carts for it, and at this January's FCUG meeting, I saw him again, and again he gave me a game cart for it.  I suppose I should start collecting even more carts for it.
