I spoke last night to Stephen Jones, who works for a computer and technology museum in Seattle, Washington.  He has a rare Teacher's PET (which he surmises is a rebadged PET 2001).  Very little information is known about this machine.  Was it a promotion for teachers to buy this computer?  In other words, why was it developed?
Well, when powered up, the computer just puts out garbage symbols on the screen.  I told him to reseat all the chips and boards and see if that will cure the problem (this cure being used on my PET 2001).  If that doesn't cure it, he will kindly ask master C= repair technician Ray Carlsen for repairs (even though Ray doesn't really like working on finicky PETs).
He will also take a bunch of pictures of the outsides and insides of the Teacher's PET, and I'll let everyone know when they are posted.

Robert, I sincerely hope you post the pictures here.  If you need hosting, let me know.  This forum software will host your image up to a certain amount (I can't recall exactly how much); if you're over that, I can "Fix" it so it can be larger.

Thank you for the offer.  :)  As for Stephen's photos of the Teacher's PET, he'll decide where to put them, whether here or some place else.

Here is the Teacher's PET.  Unfortunately someone in the past tried to peel off the badge.
I'll get more pictures of it opened up and a status once its running.  Its doubtful it will
be ready for MossyCon V, but I'll try my best.

Most excellent!  Now all we have to do is bring it to a print shop where they would try and duplicate that label.  :)

I never knew that Commodore donated,
