No Commodores here in Aberdeen

     Well, I had a bit of time today to wander around by myself (no cousin to lead me, because he was off to Edinburgh) in the town centre of Aberdeen, Scotland.  I picked up the last of the souvenirs for my 27 or so family and friends on my list.  I also looked into a few shops, hoping to find Commodore or Amiga items.  I looked in a Barnardos charity shop (yes, a chain of charity shops with *that* name), and the local Cash Converters (a pawn shop).  Nothing.  Darn!

All may not be lost!  While attending my cousin's graduation party at the Old School House Pub in Aberdeen, I met two of my cousin's friends, Tim and girlfriend Amy.  Somehow, the conversation turned to computers, and I mentioned Commodore and Amiga.  Tim grew up using Commodores and then Archimedes in school in Leeds, England!  Well, by the end of the conversation, Tim said that if he could find his old Commodore 16, he'd give it to my cousin to bring back to the states, who would then give it to me.  Ooo, a PAL C16...

I have 3 working C16's currently. Converting to NTSC is relatively simple task. Even doing a 64k ram upgrade isn't a lot more difficult. I may be able to dig up some duplicates of some of the C16 game tapes I have as well if you are interested.

Well, a PAL C16 for me is not really necessary, as I already have a PAL Plus/4 (and a few NTSC C16s).

I may be able to dig up some duplicates of some of the C16 game tapes I have as well if you are interested.
