A1000IDE CF hard drive

     Ah, another busy classic computer weekend - this time for 3 days!  Tomorrow is the TOGA meeting, followed on Sunday by the FCUG meeting.  I just received it a few days ago... a newly-developed piece of hardware for the venerable Amiga 1000.  It's the A1000IDE CompactFlash hard drive, consisting of a board which connects to the A1000 SCSI and an adapter board which mounts to that which holds to CF card slots - one slot holding a FAT95 card for transferring Amiga programs from a PC and the other slot holding a card with Amiga OS.  Quite a piece of hardware, especially for the great price of $25, postage included.  I haven't tested it yet... perhaps TOGA tech, Duncan M., will have an A1000 already set up in his shop so I can test it out tomorrow.
     Then on Monday, I am seriously considering a visit to Dave O. an hour out of Fresno and looking at his massive collection of classic goodies.

     At the TOGA meeting, president Randy Abel thought i got a good deal on the A1000IDE.
     Also I asked for TOGA tech Duncan M.'s help in installing Tracker Hero AGA into my desktop A1200, Tracker Hero being the Guitar Hero-like program for the Amiga.  I'll bring him the computer in March, the next time I'm at a TOGA meeting (I can't get to all of them).
     After Tracker Hero AGA is installed, the A1200 will be ready for me to bring to the April 14-17 Notacon in Cleveland, Ohio.  With the Guitar Hero guitar, the Toni Westbrook PSX64 adapter, and the A1200 in the gameroom of the show, the Notacon attendees will be able to jam to the music the Commodore way! 

          I should bring Shredz64 again with the new songs Toni put out,

I couldn't meet up with Dave, because he was working a split shift.  Oh, well, another time to look at his PET 9060 and 9090 hard drives.  Or he said he might come on over to one of our meetings.
