Happy Weekend after Commodore LA Super Show, C= and Ami aficionados!
The Fresno Commodore User Group has its next meeting from 11 a.m. to 2:30+ p.m., Sunday, April 21, at

Panera Bread Restaurant
3590 W. Shaw Ave. (corner of W. Shaw Ave. and Marty Ave.)
Fresno, CA 93711
(559) 271-0104
http://www.dickestel.com/met_loc.htm

For discussion, we'll talk about how Commodore LA Super Show went, the usual things - equipment failures, presentations dropped, presentations added, attendees, the mood of the crowd, etc.  Also we'll talk about our sister show, the June 22-23 Pacific Commodore Expo NW in Seattle, and even CLASS 2025.
Like last month, we'll try out some of the latest C64 games (Lock 'n Chase, Hermanos, Good Knight, Harharagon, Night Mission Pinball Extended, and more) and VIC-20 games (FiZZ, Chlopodia, Mars Planet Patrol, Petscii Breakout, Railyard, Victris #64738). And we'll check out some brand new Amiga disks-of-the-month from The Other Group of Amigoids (TOGA).

News and Events / ZOOM MEETING: Brian Dougherty...
Last post by Marcio D. - April 09, 2024, 05:32:27 PM
TPUG (Toronto PET Users Group) is pleased to reconnect you with one of the most intriguing entrepreneurs of the mid-1980's home computing era.  Brian Dougherty was the founder of Berkeley Softworks, the company that developed GEOS (Graphic Environment Operating System) for the Commodore 64, C128, Plus/4, and the Apple II series of computers.

In addition to GEOS, the company also released complementary software and hardware such as geoPublish and geoRAM.  GEOS and its ecosystem of products granted 8-bit computers the type of functionality previously only seen on more powerful computers, an ambitious feat that continues to be admired by retrocomputing fans worldwide.

Brian Dougherty will be interviewed by Toronto-based UI Designer Lucas Gramajo.

Mark your calendars!  As usual, you can also watch the event later - just subscribe to TPUG's YouTube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/@TorontoPETUsersGroup

Date:  Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Time:  7:30PM ET.  (Toronto, Canada).

Zoom details:  https://www.tpug.ca

Thanks for attending !

Less than a week to the Commodore Los Angeles Super Show!  If you haven't checked out the CLASS website, go to

http://www.portcommodore.com/class

We have David Pleasance of Commodore UK in attendance, a special video from Trevor Dickinson of A-EON, raffle prizes like a CMD Hard Drive converted to CompactFlash via Zulu SCSI, presentations, exhibits, a great game competition for a great prize, and more.
CLASS 2024 is at the Burbank Veterans of Foreign Wars hall, 1006 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank, California, USA.  Admission is $25 whether you come for one day or two days, April 13-14.  Kids under 16 years old have free admission.
I'd like to thank in advance the hard work of the members of the Southern California Commodore & Amiga Network for making the show possible.
