Title: Plus/4 telecomms
Post by: Rorshach on March 06, 2009, 08:38:05 PM
Hello everyone.

Just wondered if anyone had done their bbs days on a Plus/4 since it does have a functional user port.  I've found the 1660 and 1670 modems are usable with it.  Also found higgyterm will run on it as well as another german terminal who's name escapes me at the moment.  That last term was plenty usable as it could do 80 columns and decent baud rates and upload / download as well.  I've even seen ham radio software for it.  Only software I've not yet found is a bbs program for it but that shouldn't be impossible.

There are some BBS programs that were written in BASIC for other Commodores, and shouldn't be too difficult to port to the Plus/4.  I will keep an eye out for them and post here with my findings.
