First, I was interested in a MTV show called, "Pimp My Ride", in which a junker car each episode was rebuilt with $20K to $40K of work. That show had its last new episode a few years ago. Now there is a new show on the Discovery Channel, "Fast 'n Loud", in which 3 or 4 cars are given varying degrees of rebuild so that they can be resold, "flipped", for a profit. It's always interesting to see how these cars are rebuilt so fast (with magic of t.v. editing and the limit of a one-hour show).
In tonight's episode, the show's lead bought a really beautiful 1983 Lincoln Continental for $5,800 and wanted to flip it at auction for $7K or $8K. The auction only brought him only $5,300.
Those are the breaks,
