At the July 24-25 CommVEx, I bought a very good-condition Amiga CDTV from the vendor, Tim Waite Sales. With the purchase, Tim threw in a few CDTV discs, a ROM switcher, and the black mouse. Now all I have to find are the matching black keyboard (very much looking like an A4000 keyboard, except black) and the black disk drive, more CDTV discs, and perhaps even an aftermarket, external, black hard drive. I am less inclined to get OS 2.0 into the machine, because even with a ROM switcher having OS 1.3 and OS 2.0, I'd have to upgrade some other CD drive control chips in order for the drive to work with 2.0.

Oops, I misrembered. No black mouse was in the batch.

At today's SCCAN meeting, a member offered to sell me his CDTV keyboard for $50 to $55. Ouch! I will look around a bit more, but if his is the only one available, I guess I must get it.
Also my CDTV was not reading its discs reliably. I was told to clean the laser pick-up (gently).

O.K., I found out that AmigaKit.com sells the black CDTV mouse. I'll place an order in with them, and they can bring the mouse over when they show up at the Amiwest Show in October.

That has been bought from the seller earlier mentioned in this thread (and at his price).

I didn't even remember that I picked up an Amiga 1311 black disk drive from a former user about a year ago. It's a good thing I dug it out.

I got the black mouse and several CDTV discs when Peter Hanson, the Amiga king of England, gave me his collection back in the summer of 2011.

If the Zeus68k works and fits, I'm more like likely to put this in the CDTV. See

P.S. I saw the Amiga CDTV trackball controller on eBay the other day. At $199, I'm probably not going to buy it. :)
