Hi All,

It's going to be a GREAT show this year and if you can make it will be even better. Come see and talk to folks from A-eon, AmigaKit, and more. Did I mention it's at a new hotel? Not just a different hotel but one that was recently built!

To help promote the show I'm calling on Amiga users all over the US to post this text, or similar to your local user group, websites, mailing lists, BBS, library, newspaper, television's event board, forum, webpage, or corkboard. Let's get the word out and show the world the Amiga ain't dead yet!

25 years ago a new day dawned on the world of computers; the Amiga was born! 25 years later there is still a vibrant community dedicated to keeping the platform alive and modern. If you have owned an Amiga or interested in learning about this amazing machine, come to Amiwest 2010 in Sacramento starting October 22, and the best part attendance is free! http://www.amiwest.net

Cheers,
Bill "tekmage" Borsari

As the Amiwest Show nears, I'm gathering all my video equipment together so that I can tape all the presentations there.  In addition to the Canon HV-40 camcorder, the R0DE stereo microphone, Bogen video tripod, several batteries, and plenty of blank tapes, I'll be more prepared this year with some Sony headphones in order to monitor the sound; sound quality was a problem last year during taping and was only partially fixed in post-production.  Better quality sound at the time of taping means less time-consuming tweaking in post.
Also now that Blip.tv has removed their policy of only Quicktime or WMV uploads, I can now give them videos rendered in a more common format, like .H264.  However, there will still be delays; I must snail-mail the video files to my contact, BIOS, who will then use his/her superfast (Verizon FIOS) upload speeds to send the videos to Blip.tv

Still a few CommVEx 2010 videos to get on-line,

For the last few years, I've always brought something to display at the Amiwest Show.  First, it was the AmigaOne G4, then it was the A1200 tower, then it was the A1200 tower refurbished, and then it was the Bodega Bay.  This year I've decided to bring the Amiga CDTV.  Perhaps I'll find some CDTV discs to buy at the show.

         Must feed the CDTV,
